Picking up learning materials on Monday, March 30th

In accordance with guidelines set forth in KPBSD Guidelines for Offline Learning Materials, Mountain View Elementary will be providing the opportunity to pick up instructional materials that students may need to learn at home. We will be making arrangements later in the week for families to pick up personal items if they need to do so, we are concentrating on learning materials Monday.

Mountain View has been following KPBSD symptom-free schools protocol, state quarantine mandates, and strict social distancing for all employees who enter our building.

You do not have to pick up anything from school if you do not feel safe doing so. Your families’ safety is our number one concern.

PICK-UP SCHEDULE BY STUDENT LAST NAME: Please adhere to these schedules; this is a huge undertaking for a school this size using safe protocol. Please only use the end of day time slot if it is absolutely necessary.

 9:00 – 9:30 AM or 1:00 – 1:30 PM – Last name beginning with A – D

 9:30 – 10:00 AM or 1:30 – 2:00 PM – Last name beginning with E – K

 10:00 – 10:30 AM – or 2:00 – 2:30 PM – Last name beginning with L – R

 10:30 – 11:00 AM – or 2:30 – 3:00 PM – Last name beginning with S – Z

3:30 – 4:00PM  for those unable to make the earlier time slot

 Pick –Up Protocol:

  1. Pull up to the school along the sidewalk (bus lane) near the front door.
  2. Stay in your vehicle, we will take your information using social distance protocols, get your materials, place them in a new clear plastic bag and place them further down the sidewalk for you to then drive to.
  3. One person should get out of your car maintaining social distancing protocol and pick up the bag.
  4. Please follow KPBSD recommended protocols** before using materials.

** In an abundance of coronavirus precaution, with so many unknowns, KPBSD recommends families quarantine all materials from schools for 72 hours before accessing them.

Give your kids a hug from us.  Take care & stay safe!
